Spring Valley Dairy receives its products from many different sources. We, therefore, find it necessary to closely monitor the quality of those products. We are confident and proud of our product lines. Our fluid milk suppliers – Darigold, Mallorie’s Dairy and Lucerne – have been in the dairy production business for decades. We have great relationships with them, which allows us to deliver the highest quality products at the best value.

Mallorie’s Dairy is a family-operated producing dairy, doing business since 1954. They currently milk approximately 2,000 cows and have their own processing plant and distribution system. Participating in competition sponsored by Oregon State University and the Oregon Dairy Industries, Inc., Mallorie’s milk received multiple “Gold Awards of Excellence” based upon quality and taste. Mallorie’s guarantees non-use of growth hormone recombinant Bovine Somatotropin (rBST) and this guarantee is stated upon the Spring Valley, Curly’s and Mallorie’s labels.

Darigold is a farmer owned company. Eighty-four local Darigold farms, all located in Oregon, comprise the Darigold co-op. There are two Darigold processing plants in Oregon that employ 250 people. It is easy to see that there are many families in Oregon that are supported by Darigold. The local economy is helped even further when the employees of Spring Valley Dairy, Mallorie’s Dairy and Lucerne are considered.

Our organic products come primarily from Noris Dairy, located in Crabtree, Oregon. Noris is similar to Mallorie’s in that they have their own herd and bottling plant. Their milk is not homogenized but is lower temperature pasteurized to preserve the integrity of the milk. Noris, like Mallorie’s, Lucerne and Darigold, guarantees non-use of rBST.

Lucerne Foods has been a leader in food manufacturing for 75 years, providing quality products and services to the food service and private label industries. They have two dairy plants, an ice cream production facility, and two bakeries operating in the Pacific Northwest. Lucerne Foods takes pride in the quality of their products, and support each facility with a fully staffed lab. The Lucerne Foods dairy plants produce their fluid milk from cows that have not been treated with rBST. Our Spring Valley Dairy label reflects this commitment to our customers with the message displayed prominently on all our gallon packages.

Spring Valley Dairy is certified by the State of Oregon as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), certification #4873. The company was founded in 1981. Gordy and Jayne Hoy have owned Spring Valley since 1985. We have distribution depots in Salem, Eugene and Redmond, Oregon. Our geographic distribution area spans north to Longview, Washington, south to Medford, west to the Oregon Coast and east to Bend/Redmond, as well as the Columbia Gorge. Approximately 80 employees work for Spring Valley Dairy and, therefore, help to support our local economy. We currently service over 1,000 customers ranging from convenience stores and care centers, to government institutions and specialty manufacturers.

Spring Valley Dairy is committed to doing our part to help the environment. We are currently completing our application for the Marion County EarthWISE program, which shows our commitment to environmentally friendly practices.

We strive to provide the highest quality products available that are handled in the safest manner possible. To this end, we are participating in the AIB International Food Safety Program. Spring Valley Dairy received a Certificate of Achievement this past October – earning a "superior" rating, the highest possible rating – for its program of maintaining and improving in-warehouse food safety and hygiene.
